Summary: A sequence of 4 pictures drawn for the Winter 2012 sshg_exchange for teaoli's prompt: "Hermione riding a bike and coming home at night, tired and dejected,then surprised (and ultimately overjoyed) to find Snape standing in a pool of light in her doorway." This will  be the last fest or exchange-based piece of fanart I do for a while. At the time I drew this, it had been a while since I'd drawn Snape, and this really shows in the third panel. (Too much Sherlocking, I fear!)

Are you pulling away from fests because you're focusing on your Johnlock illustration series?

I'll have to think up some sort of art or craft to do with you at DFW, with drinks that are not tea, while you do some artsing.

I decided last fall that I wasn't doing my best work for fests and exchanges and was putting them off too late and probably letting people down with my lack of preparation. I do want to do a lot more Johnlock, but it's the time of the year when I do the least amount of art, and I'm really floundering for inspiration right now.

I can certainly draw while you knit, block, quilt, crochet, I don't know what have you! Or you can write meta.

We should only do the art thing if you would enjoy it! One thing I can definitely do is knit a pair of wrist warmers for you with Martin's captain stripes on them. I can start them before the 20th if I have time, but definitely knowing that I can finish them while we are at DFW will take the pressure off and that means I can gleefully put this project on my want-to-do list without worry. *cheerful squee* I believe I already have yarn that will do.

Part of it is just sitting down and doing it and that will be a joy. I sometimes find it hard to do art in Malmo because we don't have enough light or a good work space or because I know I should be doing work and not screwing around. When I get into a piece of art it takes a huge chunk of time and I kind of feel this sense of guilt for not working on my research or studying Swedish or spending time with F.
