The scarf is so I can be lazy and not have to draw her face. Actually everything about her is so that I can avoid worrying about anatomy and just draw cute stuff.

But you know, it really works because she could be anyone, sort of an any!fangirl. I mean, the hair and the skin color add a bit of specificity, but these are B&W and she could be wearing a wig, so... ;-)

Yes. This was also at the back of my mind - I didn't want to grapple with her identity. I went for curly hair because it's easier than drawing straight. And it could totally be a weave or a perm.

This also works for the skull, who is also a girl.
