This one's been a long time coming. I believe I started the lineart over two months ago on my trip up north to Philly, NYC and Connecticut. tjwritter and I spent a lovely few hours in a Barnes and Nobles, squeeing, drawbling/drabbling and talking about the awesome Tears of the Phoenix project, which I am going to pimp here shortly. Truly, one of the best things about being in the fandom is meeting up with another HP fan and Pottering it up for an afternoon.

Note: This began as a drawble for the awesomely entrepreneurial tjwritter who wanted me to do a little sketch of Snape doing his potions thing. The sketch has since morphed into a full-blown picture. Sorry it's been such a long time coming, hon, but I was just having too much fun playing with Snape in the classroom again.

Awww, beautiful! I love how Snape is kind of sneering, and he looks more like canon!Snape! The frog leaping off of the table, the spider in the corner, Crookshanks, and Ron's ripped sleeve just makes the whole thing so delightful. The attention to detail (and right now I'm staring at Harry's sneakers) just makes this so lovingly rendered and beautifully thought-out. WONDERFUL!

Oh for heaven sake would someone just brush that poor cat already. *giggles* He is just so pitiful and yet too cute! You did a wonderful job on everything. I love the table! Hope Ron missed the spider on the floor. He looks like he has his hands full with the mess in front of him. He doesn't need to add fear to it.

There are so many things I love about this drawing! I adore how you've portrayed Ron; this is very close to how I picture him when I read the books. Rupert Grint is too much of a Mickey Rooney lookalike for my taste. I also love, love, love Snape's robes as you've drawn them; less billowing and dramatic and more of a simple, everyday robe and yet I still want to undo all the buttons with my teeth.

Thank you! I've had the darndest trouble with Weasley freckles, but as long as I can keep them small, they usually don't look like chicken pox. And I so love drawing Harry, particularly young Harry. It's nice to be able to do a Snape picture with other characters about.

*gasp* This is lovely, such intense colours and exquisite little details. I especially adore the details on Snape's coat, his smirk and raised eyebrow (of course), but also the dark green of Harry's eyes and his hapless expression, the freckles on Ron's face (and I'm so glad Ron is gangly like in canon), Crookshanks' expression, and the little spider behind Snape's legs. May I ask what methods you used to do this piece?
