Three Pieces of Neville Fanart in One Post!

The following three pieces were drawn for the nevillebigbang in celebration of Neville's 30th birthday. A link to the full Neville Big Bang archive is here. I've included a summary of the major points of the story/scene I was illustrating to set each in context. Although the story was withdrawn from the NBB, it's my hope the author will continue it as things were beginning to heat up!

Title: Brooding
Characters: Neville Longbottom, Bill Weasley

Notes: Illustration #1 drawn for the nevillebigbang for a withdrawn story. After being hunted by an escaped Death Eater several years postwar, ex-Auror Neville Longbottom has been sequestered in a beachside town in Egypt with Aurors Bill Weasley and Harry Potter. In this scene, Bill finds Neville outside overlooking the sea, brooding over his loss of freedom and Harry's bullheaded overprotectiveness.

Notes: Illustration #2 drawn for the nevillebigbang for a withdrawn story. Living in close quarters has resulted in heated arguments, close talks and a growing awareness of something building among the three men. After another blow-up with Harry, Neville's talk with Bill turns into something more. Harry, ever on the alert, finds them both kissing outside and shouts that there is absolutely no fraternizing between Aurors. Neville angrily reminds Harry that he is no longer an Auror.

Notes: Illustration #3 drawn for the nevillebigbang for a withdrawn story. After witnessing the kiss between Neville and Bill, Harry has become increasingly withdrawn from both. However, complete avoidance is not possible, and Neville finally calls Harry out on his coldness and overprotectiveness. During the confrontation, Harry expresses further anger at Neville's retirement from the Auror forces, leading Neville to confess that he had to do this because for years he had been unable to escape his attraction to Harry. Harry is speechless and Neville kisses him. As Harry begins kissing him back, Bill walks in...

I have to say that I really enjoy your art. The last one has a cool sort of longing in it despite the fact that their eyes are closed. That moment before a kiss is sometimes as electric, if not more, than the actual kiss itself!

In that first one I can practically smell the ocean air and I love Bill's hair. I wanna run my fingers through it!
Harry's face in two is fun, poor thing! And yummy kiss!
That third one is so tender and sweet. I wish I knew what Bill's reaction was, though. ;)
