Adventures in Breast Health: In Which I Had My Very Own Chest Monster

 My year has started off in an interesting manner. Long story short: a sebaceous cyst in my left breast became infected and on January 9th, my body ejected it ALIEN style. I therefore had/have a 2cm wound in my left breast which is no longer open but is healing. It will leave a sizeable scar but I am doing what I can to mitigate that. I have been on antibiotics since January 5th and have seen my PCP and had an ultrasound done to confirm there is no other hidden mass. In February, I have an appointment with a breast surgeon to look at the architecture of my breast and to see if there is more that needs to be done. I am in no pain and have been off running since January 2nd but I hope to resume next week.
