My first DH piece - inspired by what I found to be one of the most humanizing moments for Snape in the final book (DH, US Hardcover, p. 683). My heart cracked a little when I read this scene, but it stands out as one of my favorite moments because it laid Snape open in a way that I could relate to.

This is dedicated to all the Snapefen out there whose hearts broke a little during the final chapter.

Yeah, the interaction between Snape and Dumbledore in those Pensieve Moments were hartbreaking. Leave it to Snape to bare his soul only after death when there was nothing to be done!

I hope you consider submitting some of your great artistic ability for Tears of the Phoenix Anthologies!! www.tearsofthephoenixanthologies.org We would be lucky to have your talent included!!

Oh wow! I'd love to. Can I do it to illustrate something someone else has written? Or does it need to be original and not based on a story?

Of course you could illustrate someone elses story. I'd have to figure out how exactly to get that done. Perhaps send you one of the fics we have recieved and then you could draw something? Or perhaps you have a writer friend you'd like to collaborate with?

Yes! I'd love to do option one. I'd be more than happy to illustrate something for a fic or two submitted by one of your authors. This sounds like such a great opportunity!

Thank you.

There are some gems in this final book, and I hope I can get around to drawing all of them.

Lovely. I love the lines on Snape's face. <3

But. This makes me so sad. Snape. *sniffles*

Thanks hon. I've always found brackets around a lean man's mouth to be kind of sexy, so I couldn't resist.

Wow. I love the hand in this artwork - just how I've always pictured the hands of a Potions Master. Well done!

Thank you. Heh, I had to use my own hand as a model. Of course, I had to make it a wee bit bigger for him.

You just know if I do that he's going to look a wee bit like you.

It may be a while, but keep checking back, but I accept your challenge!

It makes sense though, I used fan art to create canon!Snape. The art techniques of makeup and drawing are the same.

I'm amazed at the range of emotion you capture with seemingly the same "tools" and still in a very recognizable style from Trevor in a Christmas stocking to desire to this.

Your comment is making me want to revisit how I approach my color-pencil pieces. It's easy to go cheerful with so much color, but there are several really sad canon pieces I would like to try my hand at - the death of Fred for starters - that I've stayed away from for fear of not being able to get the mood right with so much color. But maybe that's not that important.
