This is so adorable! I love how you made them smile, even with the beaks, and the way they look so contented with each other! And I really love how the coloring on the scarf makes it look textured.

I love how excited you are about the red pants. I had no idea how to make penguins look like John and Sherlock and the only way to do it was with clothes. Red pants on a penguin are kind of ridiculous, but it made me laugh, so I did it.

Leave it to you to take a prompt spewed out in a moment of loudmouthed obnoxiousness and turn it into something sweet, beautifully done, and also absolutely hilarious. *squishes you* I have seen and adored your more realistic pieces, so the fact that you can do freaking adorable cartoon penguins (in ear hats and red pants, no less) just makes me admire your skill all the more.

And you probably already know this because it made the news a few years ago, but there are documented cases of male/male penguin pairs, notably two at the Central Park Zoo who raised a chick together. So perhaps my loudmouthed obnoxious brain sometimes knows what it's doing. And I think my favorite part is the way that they've obviously tied themselves together with the scarf (since penguins don't have hands to cuff) so they could snuggle.

Okay, I'm with everyone about how absolutely, ridonkulously cute the red-pants are (and I'm seeing this on a Monday, no less). The ear-hat is good too, even in the absence of recognizable ears. But I totally lost it when I noticed they were sharing Sherlock's scarf.

As in, my brain more or less shorted out and I quite literally sat here blinking for several second. So, so very cute.
