I'm definitely leaning toward the idea of self-publishing. There's a Sherlock fanartist who just published a 'zine through a sort of simple set-up and was selling it for $10. I might just try my hand at the same thing once I get enough of these.
I don't know if Gatiss and Moffatt would be thrilled. I wonder about that. But I also know there's a lot of weirdness in the Sherlock fandom regarding breaking the 4th wall. I didn't see this same backlash in the HP fandom and I don't know why.
There seems to be a lot of backlash in the Sherlock fandom against fans who contact the creators with fanworks. I don't necessarily agree with them (and would never advertise if I did contact them) but I do like the idea of self-publishing and may even have a plan. I just need to get enough of these together to make it worthwhile.

You know, I just had a thought - you could self-publish these as a book and send copies to Gatiss and Moffatt. They would be thrilled, I am sure.

And I second Dicky's suggestion.
