Oh, I also want to add that I was a bit cheesed off that Uhura was fluent in all dialects of Romulan - the Romulans were just a rumour until half way through series one of TOS, so she couldn't be. Alternative time line or not. All we have in this AU is a rogue Romulan ship careening around and probably not sharing its dialects with the infidel.
